From the paper, cut out the ears, eyes and nose of the dog and glue them on to the plastic cup in a fun way. If there is some advertising on the cup, you can first glue paper around it. You can perform the finishing touch with pencils. Take a piece of thread measuring 3 meters long and a needle. String the cup on the thread. The hole in the cup’s bottom must be a little bigger than the thread so that the thread can easily slide through.
Span the thread between 2 chairs and make sure it is strained firmly.
The purpose is to move the dog from one side to the other as fast as possible. You do this by blowing into the plastic cup. (It’s more difficult when you use a straw whilst blowing.) Who has the fastest time?
Hint
-
You can also make 2 dogs so that you really can compete against each other. That makes the race more exciting than measuring time.
Hint 2: If you glue a straw on top of the cup (flat on the cup) then you can put the thread through it. If you then put a blown balloon into the cup, the dog will start flying automatically.
